Our Story
Turkish craftsmanship. Individual voices. Your sound.
At Sounds Anatolian Turkish Cymbals, we bring together premium, hand-crafted cymbals from Turkey’s cymbal-making tradition. Our focus is simple: connect drummers with instruments that carry the character of their makers and inspire a sound of their own.
A tradition you can hear
The Anatolian and Turkish cymbal-making tradition is built around the relationship between metal, skilled hands and sound. Hammering shapes more than a cymbal’s surface: it helps shape its response, complexity and voice. Shaping and finishing choices give each design its own balance of definition, wash and sustain.
Hand-crafted does not mean identical. Subtle differences are part of the appeal, making the search for a cymbal a musical choice, not simply a matter of choosing a size.
Many makers, not one idea of great sound
Our collection brings together makers including Istanbul Mehmet, Bosphorus, AllaTurca, Anatolian, Masterwork, Mehteran, Turkish Cymbals, Agean, Amedia and Ephesus. We celebrate their individual identities rather than treating Turkish cymbals as a single sound.
Our curatorial point of view is to offer different expressions of this craft: options for drummers drawn to warmth and complexity, a dry and controlled response, or a more open and powerful voice. The goal is not to tell you which maker is best. It is to help you discover which sound belongs in your music.

Authenticity begins with the maker
For us, the story belongs to the people behind the instrument. We keep maker names and series identities at the heart of our selection so you can explore the craftsmanship behind the sound, not just a label. Each maker’s approach deserves to be understood on its own terms.
